Justin Bieber made international headlines in late January. However, they weren’t for selling another million records or releasing a new hit single. The Canadian superstar was arrested in Florida on suspicion of driving under the influence. Additionally, he was also charged with resisting arrest without violence and driving with a license that had been expired for over six months.
According to local news reports in the Miami Beach area, Bieber and R&B artist Khalil had been driving million dollar cars and drag racing just prior to the arrest. Justin Bieber’s own mother, according to close friends, has continued to insist that her son can “do no wrong” throughout the entire ordeal.
Sources close to the family said that Ms. Mallette believes that Bieber can “do no wrong” and will absolutely not admit that he might need help for drug and alcohol related issues that he may be having.
Bieber was released on a $2,500 bond. The toxicology report administered by the police revealed that not only had the star been drinking (despite the fact that he isn’t legally old enough to do so in the United States), he also tested positive for both marijuana and Xanax.
Xanax is a medication that is commonly prescribed by physicians to treat anxiety.
Just a few days later, Justin Bieber returned to Toronto, Canada to face charges from the previous month. The police in Toronto charged him with committing assault against a limo driver in the area during the final weeks of 2013. While news outlets all over the world desperately want the superstar to comment about his whirlwind week, two people that are more than happy to speak their mind to the media are his mother and father.
Not only does Pattie Mallette insist that her darling son can “do no wrong,” the same source close to the family also indicated that she was annoyed that people don’t talk more about the kind things he does for people all over the world on a daily basis. One of the many things his mother insists that he does, for example, is giving to charities and other non-profit organizations. Mallette has reportedly been telling her friends that her son only needs to “do things his own way” and that he will soon come out “on top.”
Justin Bieber’s father was rumored to be with him at the time of his original arrest. He has also been showing signs of support for his internationally famous son. Justin Bieber has reportedly been spending the last few days in Canada with his mother, father and other members of his family.
It’s important to note that these last few incidents were not the first times that Bieber has been involved with law enforcement. He was famously charged in Brazil with vandalism in 2013. Later on during 2013 he also committed vandalism in Australia and Colombia by way of graffiti. His neighbors in California have also accused him of being reckless behind the wheel of a car.
